Lace invitation Broderie Anglaise.

This invitation imitates white needlework technique called Broderie Anglaise that was popular in England in 19th century.
For this invitation I used ivory, slightly golden shimmery paper and embossed it with this beautiful broderie pattern.
I then added a satin double bow in french vanilla and antique rose, and since I could not decide which one I like better- here are them both:)

Lace Flower Invitation

As many of you know, I attended my friend's wedding yesterday. The bride was especially beautiful wearing an ivory wedding gown and light golden gloves and shoes. I absolutely loved that color combination, not that it was something very new, but perhaps the whole atmosphere of the wedding gave the feel of airiness and extreme delicacy.
I then came home, and inspired of that beautiful wedding made this card.
I know, I have a very similar one in pink, but especially in this case, a different color and another lace do change an overall impression quite a bit.

Sometimes, when working on completely another project an idea hits you regarding a work you thought you had accomplished but were not completely satisfied with, and you feel like the last piece of puzzle has been finally found and put on it's place.
This last piece of puzzle is a tender pink rosette that I made for my lace invitation yesterday.

I think, it is beautiful now, if I may say so (blush)...
The delicate lace on this invitation is designer's work, and in fact, the whole invitation looks a lot lighter texture and color-wise in real life.
